SectionWhat's included

A novel, shelf-ready.

Manuscript, synopsis, style sheet — everything an agent or a KDP listing will ask for, delivered in your name.

  • Genre-fit consultation. Romance beats, thriller pacing, fantasy worldbuilding — we write to the conventions your shelf-mates respect.
  • Voice capture. Three structured interviews and a sample-prose pass to build a voice document before chapter one.
  • Chapter map. A scene-by-scene outline signed off in writing before drafting begins.
  • Fortnightly chapter batches. 8,000-10,000 words at a time, with track-changes mark-up handed back to you each Friday.
  • Two structural revisions. Plot, pacing, point-of-view — reworked at the outline first, never patched over.
  • Final line edit & proofread. Two passes by separate editors, with a continuity sheet for sequels.
  • Submission package. Synopsis, query letter, comp-title research and a one-page logline you can send to agents.
  • Author-ready files. Word in Shunn format, PDF reading copy, and a clean EPUB on request.
SectionHow it works

Five steps, each one closed off.

A novel rewards patience. The schedule is built so the next stage never starts before the last one is signed.

01

The premise.

Discovery call, comp-title research and a written proposal — fixed price, fixed scope — inside 48 hours.

02

The outline.

Scene-by-scene chapter map, character bibles and a voice document. Nothing is drafted until you sign it off.

03

The drafting.

Fortnightly chapter batches. You mark up freely; we respond to every note before the next batch lands.

04

The revisions.

Two structural passes and a full line edit. Continuity, timeline and pacing checked against the outline.

05

The handover.

Manuscript, synopsis and submission package — or KDP listing if you're going direct. Copyright on you.

SectionTestimonials

Authors who let us name them.

Most of our novelists keep their ghostwriter quiet — these three did not.

I came in with two chapters and a stalled outline. The scene-by-scene map alone was worth the fee — by week six we had a draft that already knew where it was going. The voice document captured exactly the kind of sentences I write at my best.

My agent received the manuscript in Shunn format with comp titles and a one-page synopsis already attached. She told me it was the cleanest submission she'd seen all year. Two weeks later we had three offers on the table.

They flagged a broken plot turn in chapter eleven and walked the outline back three weeks rather than paper over it. That kind of editorial honesty is rare on fixed-price work — usually the deadline wins and the book loses.

SectionOur written guarantees

Things we put in writing.

Each of these is in your contract, in plain English, on page one.

Author retains 100% of rights.

Copyright, characters, world, sequel and option rights transfer to you on final payment. We never ghostwrite for two authors with overlapping worlds.

Strict NDA, from email one.

Every conversation, draft and outline is held under a signed non-disclosure agreement. We don't list novelists in case studies without written permission.

Outline-first refund.

If the chapter map doesn't convince you the book is worth writing, we refund the planning stage and part ways with no draft owed.

Plot-break stop clause.

If a structural problem surfaces mid-draft, we pause the schedule and rework the outline before writing more prose. No extra fee for the rethink.

SectionHow to begin

How to start a fiction novel project with ebookwriting.ai.

Four short steps from logline to finished manuscript.

  1. Send the logline or draft. Email what you have — a paragraph, an outline, or a half-finished draft. We confirm receipt within one working day.
  2. Receive a fixed-price proposal. Within 48 hours, you get a written quote (typically $2,800 to $9,600 depending on word count and ghostwriting share), a timeline, and a one-page contract.
  3. Approve outline, then chapters. We deliver a beat-sheet outline, then chapters in batches across 10 to 16 weeks. You mark up freely; two revision rounds are built in.
  4. Receive the agent-ready package. We hand over the polished manuscript, a one-page synopsis, a query letter and the editable source — yours to submit to agents or to publish direct.
SectionThe detail

More about our fiction ghostwriting work.

Our fiction ghostwriting services are built for debut novelists, returning authors and busy professionals with a clear story in mind but no twelve uninterrupted months to write it. A novel ghostwriter is paired to the genre — literary, romance, thriller or fantasy — and the project is run by a fiction editor who has shipped manuscripts to agents and to KDP. Most contracts run six to nine months from outline to final draft.

What working with a novel ghostwriter looks like

The first month is voice work. A novel ghostwriter records three or four conversations with you, reads any sample chapters you have, and writes a 2,000-word voice test against the agreed outline. Nothing moves forward until the voice test reads like you. From there the draft is written in fortnightly batches of roughly 8,000 to 10,000 words, with notes back inside seven days.

Literary novel writing is paced differently from genre work, and we don't pretend otherwise. Romance/thriller/fantasy ghostwriting leans on tighter beat sheets, faster scene turns and clearer hook chapters; literary fiction sits longer in interiority and image. The same studio handles both, but the writer assigned to your book has shipped at least three published titles in that exact genre lane.

Debut novelist help — and what we don't promise

We give debut novelist help on structure, voice and submission readiness — what we don't promise is an agent or a film deal, and we'll talk plainly about the market for your premise before quoting. A fiction editor reads the final manuscript against current acquisition standards in your genre and flags anything that will make a slush-pile reader stop on page one.

Copyright is assigned to you in full at final payment. NDAs are signed before the first call. The ghostwriter's name appears only where you ask it to appear, and most of our authors choose for it not to appear at all.

SectionFAQ

Questions we are asked.

Short, honest answers. Anything else, send to contact@ebookwriting.ai.

What does the starting figure cover?

At ebookwriting.ai, the starting fiction novel fee of $2,800 covers a full-length manuscript up to an agreed word count, a structural outline, three drafts, two rounds of developmental notes, and a final line edit. Cover, formatting, and marketing copy are quoted as separate pieces of work.

How long does a novel take?

A standard 60,000–80,000 word novel runs four to six months from outline to delivery. Shorter works and novellas can be completed in eight to ten weeks. We share a written milestone schedule before the first chapter is written.

What if I'm not happy with the direction of the story?

Every project carries two structural revisions and unlimited line tweaks within scope. If a plot turn isn't landing we rework the outline before redrafting, because rewriting prose around a broken structure never recovers the book.

Do I keep authorship and rights?

Yes. You are the sole author of record and we sign a confidentiality and rights-transfer agreement at the start of the project. The manuscript, characters, and world are yours to publish, sequel, or option.

How is the manuscript delivered?

You receive an industry-standard Word file in Shunn or Chicago manuscript format, a PDF reading copy, a chapter-by-chapter synopsis, and a short style sheet that lists naming, timeline, and continuity decisions for future books.

Will the book actually be marketable?

We write to the conventions of your chosen genre — beats, length, tropes, comp titles — because readers buy on familiarity before they reward originality. We'll tell you honestly, in the proposal, whether the premise has a clear shelf to sit on, and what would strengthen its market position.
